On my to-do list is a set of lino prints featuring some of the awesome and mysterious machines used by physicists and astronomers. I’m planning to do the Large Hadron Collider, Jodrell Bank, and a tokamak (experimental fusion reactor) – amongst others. But to get warmed up, I thought I’d do a print of the Bluedot Festival – an annual music and science festival held over several days and nights in summer at Jodrell Bank, Cheshire – all the action taking place under the shadow of the giant radio telescope.
So here’s the first test print.
My plan is to add some additional colours using a new technique for me – linocut combined with screenprinting.
