Well, I’ve abandoned the idea of adding colour to the Bluedot Festival linocut by using the silkscreen process – so messy! and I’m finding registration of the image difficult. I will try this technique again in the future, but for the moment, I’m going back to the trusty “multi-block” technique. Here’s a test print using water-based inks:-
Subdued colour scheme using just two blocks. Looking forward to seeing how it works with the oil based inks. It’s always difficult to get deep smooth colour with the water based inks. If only I had a press instead of a spoon …..
