Barbican Conservatory linocut is a limited edition original print.
Each print in a linocut edition is inked up and pressed individually, resulting in some slight differences between each print – making each one a unique work of art. This is especially the case with Barbican Conservatory, as it is a variable edition of 50 and I have used different colour schemes throughout the edition.
The image shows the actual print for sale, which is Number One. The print is numbered, and signed by the artist. The linocut is printed in oil-based inks on acid free paper, and will be sent with a mount and backing board.
The actual image size is 19 x 27 cm (about 7.5 by 10.5 inches) portrait format. The mount will bring this to 30 x 42 cm (A3) which should be easy to frame.
I send smaller prints wrapped in cellophane in a reinforced envelope or parcel. Larger prints or international deliveries may be sent rolled in a tube with protective tissue.
The Barbican Conservatory is an unexpected tropical oasis at the top of the Barbican Centre in London. It is built around the Barbican Theatre’s fly tower (used to raise and lower scenery) and opened in 1984. It has three pools and around 1500 species of plants and trees.
