Description
Barn Owl at Jodrell Bank is taken from one of my large linocuts and is available as a card in two different colourways.
Telescopes and observatories are a great subject for art – particularly in conjunction with the awe-inspiring natural world. I hope to add more linocuts on the theme of astronomy and physics in the future – as the structures ussed are fascinating. Linocut is a relief printmaking technique similar to woodcut. Several lino blocks are carved to create the different colours.
Barn Owl at Jodrell Bank is a great card for astronomy buffs, science enthusiasts and bird lovers! It is also available as a digital print to enjoy on your wall at a larger size.
If you like this image of Jodrell Bank, you might like my other linocut of the observatory, which features in my blog here. I was inspired by my visit to the annual Bluedot Festival which takes place under the radio telescopes there.
