This beautiful travel poster of Glastonbury Tor is inspired by the vintage railway posters advertising the joys of British travel. It is part of my Somerset series of illustrations.
The town of Glastonbury in Somerset is associated with several legends about early Christianity and King Arthur. The Tor itself is a prominent hill rising from the Somerset Levels and can be seen from many miles away. It would once have been an island in marshes, and has been identified as the Isle of Avalon of British myth – where King Arthur was laid to rest.
This is a digital copy of my original illustration and is printed on quality paper in A4 or A3 sizes. These are standard sizes and easy to mount and frame. There is a white border around the image to allow for the signature. Some photos show how lovely the print will look framed, but please note that the print is sold unframed and without a mount.
I sign all the prints in pencil in the bottom right and include the title of the print.
I will send A4 and A3 prints by Royal Mail, presented in a cello bag with a cardboard back for protection or onward delivery. International deliveries may be sent rolled in a tube.
Paper size: A4 (210 x 297mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches).
