Description

My large colour linocut of skaters on the annual open-air ice rink at Brighton’s Royal Pavilion reproduced as a greetings card.

The card is 5″ by 7″ or 127mm high by 178mm wide landscape format with the fold at the top (tent fold). The image has a white border around it. It comes with diamond flap white envelope and clear cellophane sleeve. The card weight is 300gsm and is blank inside for your own message. Postage is by Royal Mail first class and is free for UK customers.

It could be given as a Christmas card, and would also look good framed!

I love the open air ice rinks that appear around the country in November, having had the chance to skate on the one at London’s Somerset House at the beginning of its first season way back when. The one at Brighton has a particularly gorgeous backdrop.

So far, I’ve made linocuts of this ice rink at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton and the annual one at Hampton Court Palace. I hope to make prints of some of the others like the one at Somerset House, Greenwich, Winchester Cathedral and perhaps the Eden Project. Unfortunately most, if not all, either never opened or had to close during their run in the winter of 2020-21. Let’s hope for a joyful return next winter!

Note: on screen colours may vary depending on screen calibration.
