An original handmade and signed linocut print of the National Theatre, London.

This is an edition of 50, printed in oil based inks on acid-free paper.

The image is just under A4 in size and is signed and editioned in pencil at the bottom by the artist. It comes ready mounted with a backing board so all you need to do is frame it and hang it on your wall! It will fit a standard 12″ x 16″ frame (30cm x 41cm – roughly A3). The frames shown in some of the photos are not included but to show how lovely it might look in your house!

This is an original handmade print, not a digital reproduction. As such, each print is likely to differ slightly from the others, each one is unique. Colours may vary slightly between prints and depending on your computer monitor.

The National Theatre has three stages and was built as part of the Southbank complex in the mid-1970s. The Southbank area is beside the Thames in central London (on the south bank, naturally) and has a cinema, bookshop, concert hall, art gallery, and cafes and seating areas open long hours. This makes this spot a lively area at almost any time of the day or night.

The area was first developed after the Festival of Britain took place on the site in 1951. The legacy of the Festival was the creation of a new arts complex – of which the National Theatre was one of the last buildings to be completed.
