Description
Owl at Jodrell Bank is approximately 39 cm wide by 28 cm high (roughly A3) and signed beneath by me, the artist. This is a variable edition of 50. Every linocut is hand printed and individual prints vary slightly from each other, so that you will own an individual work of art. These are not mass-produced at the printers but printed by me by burnishing the back with a spoon!
Your work of art will come ready mounted to fit a standard-sized frame.
I am interested in telescopes and some of the other large structures used by scientists to peer into the secrets of the natural world. In this image, I like the idea of the barn owl flying across the face of the radio dish instead of the more usual full moon.
If you are interested in astronomy, you might also be interested in my linocuts of Herstmonceux Observatory and the Bluedot Festival. I hope to feature other observatories in my work in future.
