Ten Tors, Dartmoor is a beautiful art print showing an illustration of a team of six heading past one of Dartmoor’s distinctive tors.
The poster celebrates the annual Ten Tors challenge in which youngsters from all over Devon take part in a weekend of camping and hiking on Dartmoor, in teams of six. It has been a rite of passage for young Devonians since 1960.
Ten Tors is organised and overseen by the British Army – enabling a reasonably safe yet properly challenging event for West Country teenagers. It is a test of navigation, endurance and survival skills over Dartmoor’s tough terrain. The teams of 14-19-year olds usually come from schools, colleges, scout and cadet groups.
This is a digital copy of my original illustration and is printed on quality paper in A5, A4 or A3 sizes. These are standard sizes and easy to mount and frame. There is a white border around the image to allow for the signature. Some photos show how lovely the print will look framed, but please note that the print is sold unframed and without a mount.
I sign all the prints in pencil in the bottom right and include the title of the print.
I will send A5, A4 and A3 prints by Royal Mail, presented in a cello bag with a cardboard back for protection or onward delivery. International deliveries may be sent rolled in a tube.
