Turnstones are a common sight on Hastings' pebbly beach. Flocks of these sweet little birds (slightly bigger than a starling) walk confidently amongst the fishing boats and lobster pots, looking for insects and molluscs.
The image on the card is taken from one of my linocuts of turnstones, showing a typical local fishing boat in the background.
