Description
7″x5″ greetings card of the Victoria Palace Theatre in London, taken from one of my linocuts of this theatre. Blank inside for your own message. It comes with a white envelope and cellophane wrap. UK p&p included in price.
The card is 7″ by 5″ or 178mm high by 127mm wide portrait format with the fold on the long side. The image does not go right to the edge of the front side but has a narrow white border. The card comes with diamond flap white envelope and clear cellophane sleeve. The card weight is 300gsm and is blank inside for your own message.
It would also look good framed!
I worked at the Victoria Palace Theatre for many years and know the building well and have sketched it many times.
The theatre was built by famed theatre architect Frank Matcham. His good designs meant that audiences weren’t stuck trying to peer around pillars in the stalls and circle, as was usual in other theatres of the era. The theatre has recently been redeveloped to secure its future as a comfortable venue with facilities for larger shows.
Let’s hope we can all get back to enjoying theatre again soon!
A card is also available of my linocut of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
