Castles of Scotland illustrated map print, nearly 50 Scottish castles
This gorgeous illustrated map of the Castles of Scotland is a treat for anyone who loves Scotland’s amazing architectural heritage. I have drawn portraits of nearly 50 (mostly) famous castles including Royal Residences, romantic ruins, and those especially photogenic ones on the islands of lochs.
A unique souvenir poster for travellers, tourists, and people who love castles!
Scotland has an enormous number of castles – many in fantastic locations beside lochs and mountains. The country is a castle heaven! Many are very attractive with their turrets and towers. And some of them are pink!
Castles illustrated include the late Queen’s beloved highland home Balmoral; charming pink Craigievar (said to be the inspiration for the Disney castle); the dramatic ruins of Dunnottar Castle; quirky Cawdor Castle (it has a tree growing inside it!), much-photographed Eilean Donan; regal Edinburgh Castle; spooky Glamis; and romantic Dunrobin.
I had grandparents living in the Highlands and have visited many of these castles – so included most of my favourites – plus some oddities discovered whilst researching this print such as Fatlips Castle – what a name!
Castles of Scotland is a hand signed art print or poster from my original illustration. It is available in A4, A3 or A2 sizes, which are standard sizes and easy to mount and frame.
There is a white border around the image to allow for the signature. Some photos show how lovely the print will look framed, but please note that the print is sold unframed and without a mount.
Prints will be sent by Royal Mail. A4 and A3 prints are presented in a cello bag with a cardboard back for protection or onward delivery. International deliveries may be sent in a tube. A2 prints will be sent via Royal Mail in a tube.
